Vartiss Managing Director, Phil Backhouse, sums up the driving force to their approach perfectly, “We’re a close-knit bunch here.  Phil went on to explain why he was eager to enter the RoSPA awards, “Having everyone stay injury-free is the top prize for me. However, we wanted to apply for a RoSPA award to demonstrate our commitment to continuously improving health and safety. Most importantly, we want to share our success and show our appreciation to our workforce”.

Everyone at Vartiss was delighted to receive the Gold Award for their first application. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest  accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards. The organisations receiving a RoSPA Gold Award are recognised as being world-leaders in their commitment to health and safety practice.
